Cameron Stephens helps those around her by showing that Jesus lives in her heart.  Her father is a pastor at the local church, and she firmly believes in all that he and the Bible tell of.  She is a mischevious girl, but recognizes her mistakes and fixes them.  Despite what others may think, she befriends Cassie, a poor young girl.

 

Cassie is Cameron's new friend who doesn't know the Lord.  Her parents are poor and there are many rumors between schoolchildren that criticize the family.  She has no friends until Cameron reaches out and loves her.  Thanks to Cameron she finds hope through God.

 

Charlotte Stephens, Cameron's twin sister, is a good friend yet not completely stable in character.  She is goody two shoes and hardly ever gets into mischeif.

 

Mya Goodrich is Charlotte and Cameron's cousin and good friend.  She becomes jealous of the friendship between Cassie and Cameron.
