Saphrena is a bold girl who faces challenges with a clear mind.  After her life is turned around by white men, she makes the most of any situation.  She cares for others deeply, and strives to share with them the Word of God.

 

Tysi is Saphrena's older brother, who she supposes is dead until he shows up at her home one afternoon.  He eventually accepts Christ, and they travel to a reservation to share the Gospel.

 

Shana is a Native American who is converted to Christianity by Saphrena and Tysi.  She becomes a missionary as well.

 

Jared saves Saphrena and her two younger siblings, Makya and Zachary, from hostile white men and adopts them. He provides a happy home for the children, and raises them to respect their parents culture but also embrace a new culture as well.

 

Arista is Saphrena, Makya, and Zachary's adopted children.  She assists and supports Saphrena to fulfill God's will for her.
